House of Joseph Lynch

Founded in Piantini, Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic. Built on a single conviction: that only the finest materials in the world are acceptable — and that understanding why they are the finest is as important as selecting them.

The Standard

Every garment begins with a single question: what is the finest material available for this product, in the world? The answer becomes the specification. Nothing that falls short is considered.

Our approach is rooted in material science. Fiber diameter, measured in microns. Staple length. Spin construction. Twist per meter. These are not marketing words — they are the measurable properties that determine whether a garment earns the right to exist.

Every specification is verified by independent laboratory testing before a single garment is cut. We do not accept supplier declarations alone. We test.

The Materials

Baby Cashmere

Sourced exclusively from the Alashan Mountains of Inner Mongolia — the geographic origin of the world's finest cashmere fiber. Harvested once in the animal's lifetime, hand-combed in June. The fiber diameter is confirmed by independent laboratory analysis before any order is placed. SFA-certified for full supply chain traceability.

Merino Wool

13.5 micron extra-fine merino — sourced at the upper boundary of what is commercially viable for fine-gauge knitwear. At this diameter, the fiber is softer than most cashmere on the market. Available in 12, 14, 16, and 18 gauge constructions, each producing a distinct hand-feel and weight suited to different climates and preferences.

Mulberry Silk

6A grade — the highest commercially classified grade for mulberry silk. Continuous reeled filament from intact cocoons, selected for filament length, uniformity, and luster. Constructed as double-jersey fabric for the structural integrity required in a polo garment.

Piantini, Santo Domingo

The Dominican Republic has never had a fashion house. We intend to change that. Piantini is our home — the address of the first true fashion house in the Caribbean, built on a foundation that has no precedent in the region.

The standard is simple: the finest materials in the world, applied with the rigor of a scientist and the patience of a craftsman. Nothing less has ever been considered.
