Cashmere

Origin

Inner Mongolia, from mature Capra Hircus goats. Hand-combed during the spring de-fleece. The finest adult cashmere reaches 14 to 14.5 microns — coarser fiber than baby cashmere by origin, but still superior to most garments sold at any price point. We source only at the upper boundary of what Grade A+ classification permits.

The Standard

The global cashmere market is saturated with fiber that fails basic quality thresholds. We impose a micron ceiling of sub-15 micron on every lot we consider. Anything that tests above this threshold is eliminated regardless of price, relationship, or supplier reputation.
